Thirty Thirty Hotel New York

Thirty Thirty Hotel New York
30 East 30th Street, New York, NY 10016

When staying in New York, finding a hotel that will place you at the heart of the action, whilst offering good value for your dollar, can take up time that would be better spent planning a myriad of activities to engage upon whilst staying in a city that never sleeps. For this reason we believe that Hotel Thirty Thirty with its location within half a mile of Grand Central Station, Madison Square Garden, and the Empire State Building will tick all of your boxes.
Upon inserting your electronic key card and entering into the room, expect to find either two single or a Queen-sized bed fitted with 340 thread Egyptian cotton sheets, and an en suit bathroom containing all accessories. Your comfort will be further enhanced by the included air conditioning, whilst cable TV and an alarm clock radio come as standard. Guests opting for a single, superior room or a suit will find all of these amenities plus a phone with voicemail, and a work desk.
Located in the lobby of Hotel Thirty-Thirty you will find the Zana Café where you may choose from a selection of breakfast menus starting from $10.95 or if you wish, dine or lunch on cuisine featuring rustic Italian and Mediterranean dishes.
For a refundable deposit $100 per room guests will find their pets more than welcome to accompany them on their stay, whilst Wi-Fi access is available for a charge of $13.95 for 24 hours. We would also recommend visiting the hotel website at www.thirtythirty-nyc.com as you will find that Thirty Thirty Hotel New York offers a wide range of package deals that will save you up to 25% on your stay, especially if booking well in advance of your visit. Finally the hotel concierge will be more than happy to assist you with booking tickets for Broadway shows and city tours, whilst if contacted ahead of you visit they will help you to arrange transportation to and from all New York City airports.

Hotel QT

Lobby,  Room-Mate Grace
Hotel QT has changed owners – founder Andre Balazs is now longer in charge – and its name to Room-Mate Grace. Following the Room-Mate conceit of naming hotels after "interesting women", aside from being a no-frills boutique hotel, Grace is also supposedly an "Acclaimed international concert performer, her true passion is to create a variety of 'concertos'  which combine yada yada yada, inviting the public to explore the richness of the human experience". Leaving aside the marketing piffle, the hotel is actually better than the conceit. It's that rare beast: an affordable trendy boutique hotel in New York City.
Situated at 125 West 45th Street, the Room-Mate Grace is literally within spitting distance of Times Square. Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center and Times Square are all short walks away. So you won't find many more central New York hotels.
It has been described (rather unkindly) as an upscale hostel, and the reception area doubles as a 24-hour shop (see picture). Grace's downside is that she doesn't have a restaurant – though take-away menus are thoughtfully provided – no room service and her breakfast is more of a cold collation than an early morning treat. Still, you can breakfast until noon and frolic around the indoor pool (with a DJ most nights) until the early hours. If consuming cocktails surrounded by bikini-clad beauties and scantily-clad jocks is your thing, you'll love Grace, even if it is a far cry from concertos and enriching the human experience.
All 139 rooms come with pillow-top mattresses on platform beds with storage underneath. Cordless telephones with two-line phones are standard, as are 25 inch flat-screen TVs, with CDs or DVD players, depending on your standard of room. Standard rooms have a shower but no bath tub, lucury rooms come with luxury bathrooms. No matter what your room type you will receive free wireless internet throughout the hotel and free local calls. A nice touch is the iPhone docking port – iHome.
It's a young person's hotel and discounts are offered for the under-25s.
Hotel QT is dead. Long live Room-Mate Grace.
