Stansted Airport Hotels

There are several good Stanstead Airport Hotels and some offer great value deals. Lots of people have to drive to Stansted by car, so we've included information about hotel parking. All of the hotels we recommend have a place to keep your vehicle overnite and a few of them offer airport parking deals.

If you can select a place with a "park and fly" rate, you'll get an inclusive price that has a night's accommodation and (for example) a week parking. This usually costs less than you would have paid for parking alone at the official vehicle parks.

Radisson Blu Hotel London Stansted Airport

Only five minutes walk from the Stanstead terminal, the Radisson Blu is a four-star hotel with 500 rooms – including 20 suites. Yes, it's a big hotel, with three restaurants and two bars to satisfy most aural pleasures.  Being a modern hotel for modern people, there's a health and fitness club with gym  swimming pool, sauna and spa.

DeSalis Hotels London Stansted

Our PICK of the Stanstead Hotels. The DeSallis is a newly built, three-star hotel around five minutes from Stanstead Airport by shuttle bus. Free computers are available to use in the reception area and there'd free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel.  This is a hotel with a lovely garden (a rare event in itself!)  that's well worth a visit in sunny times and, as the hotel is near to the hotel but away from the runways and flight-paths, it's surprisingly quiet. The hotel is entirely non-smoking and offers Indian and English delicacies in its restaurant.

There are 50 rooms and business and family rooms are available with parking packages. Check out the luxurious jacuzzi rooms. Most of the hotel's packages come with one day's free parking, making it great for park, sleep and fly.

The Whitehall Hotel

Church End, Broxted, Dunmow, CM6 2BZ

This rather fine three-star hotel is a restored Elizabethan manor house, and a cut above your usual airport hotel. Check out the original timbered beam ceilings. The Whitehall Restaurant offers views over the hotel's gardens and terrace. The kitchen was originally designed by Gary Rhodes in the 1980's, but is now under the control of head chef Clinton Webb. There are 26 rooms, all of them en suite, including five superior rooms which are bigger and come with a separate free-standing shower in the bathroom (as opposed to over the tub). We've always wanted to try the Penthouse Suite. All rooms have chargeable wi-fi internet connection, but with room prices starting at £50 a night, you can hardly complain.
