Westbury Hotel London

The Westbury Hotel London is a five-star hotel in fashionable Bond Street, Mayfair. It is one of the most luxurious hotels, not only in the whole of London, but also in the World.
As you'd expect, its 246 guest rooms – including 20 suites – are individually designed in warm shades and include such conveniences as multi-line telephone(s) with voice mail and high-speed wi-fi access. There are 26 satellite television channels as standard and the higher-end guest-rooms boast large-screen plasma TVs.

The classes of rooms are (in order): Superior Queen, Superior King, Deluxe King, Junior Suites, Superior Suites, Deluxe Suites, Corner Suites and then there's… The Berkeley Suite, The Hanover Suite and the St George Penthouse. The St George Penthouse is a two bedroom suite, with a living room and a dining space for up to 12 people. There are stunning views overlooking rooftops of Mayfair and skyline of central London and the price (starting at £1,250 a night) includes your own butler.

Although I've never stayed in the St George Penthouse, on a personal basis, it is hard to fault the first-class service you receive at the Westbury. The concierge desk certainly know their stuff and everyone you deal with seems hell-bent on making sure you enjoy your stay.
A wonderful way to start the evening at the Westbury is to take a cocktail in the sophisticated Polo Bar. You then have the choice of restaurants. I personally find it hard to decide between the Artistan restaurant and Tsukiji Sushi. The Artisan menu is created by Executive Chef Andrew Jones, a graduate of the Roux school of cooking and certainly one of the most innovative talents in London today.
Starters might include Terrine of Vendee Foie Gras (garnished with Guanaja chocolate, marinated anchovies and toasted brioche) and the inoccuous-sounding Ham, Egg & Chips, which is actually 5J Jabugo ham with poached duck egg, parsnip chips and red pepper essence – carved at your table, no less.
For main course, how about Roasted Prince De Dombes Duck Breast garnished with confit leg, stuffed neck, Swiss chard, apple & sherry vinegar jus? Veggies aren't forgotten either with a delicious sounding twist of the old favourite of cauliflower gratin: cented with almond, amaretto & parmesan garnished with kale and morels. Yum yum.
If you can run to the prices, the Westbury Hotel London offers fantastic service, hugely enjoyable food and top class accommodation. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
